Now, John is about to freak out, so let me get my two cents in. My misgivings about the groupthink of the county genre aside, I understand the point that they are badly making. I don’t even think Richard is talking about country music in general – what John is singing is almost cartoonish, with the twangy yodel. It sounds like what the old grandpa mouse, the one with the cowboy hat that covered his eyes, from Tom and Jerry would sing when he played his banjo. It’s almost a caricature. What he is singing right now sounds like what you’d hear around a moonshine still. And I don’t think that about country music as a whole, I think it about the thing that John is singing at this moment. It sounds like a parody. And remember, they’re in Brooklyn, which is an ethnically diverse area. Know who likes country music? White people. Know who doesn’t? Everybody else.

Awesome review. I literally had to cover my mouth from laughing hysterically in my cubicle.
I’ve always liked Dione Warwick’s music, but no doubt that woman is 100% evil
Thank you! I strive to create awkward workplace situations whenever I can.
Yeah, Dionne is really talented, but “That’s What Friends Are For” isn’t good enough to justify that attitude of hers.
