It’s getting worse – Marlee says, through Jack, that she doesn’t need or want anybody’s pity, an Dionne reacts as if this is Jack’s statement and argues with him. She never even turns to look at the woman who is sitting right next to her, and instead argues with her by proxy. Marlee interviews that she doesn’t accept barriers, but Dionne’s attitude made her feel handicapped. And if Dionne can make a deaf woman who went on a televised dancing show and did an awesome job feel handicapped, then that is so heartbreaking that I don’t even want to make one of my dumbass jokes.
