Celebrity Apprentice

Celebrity Apprentice Season 4 – “People Tell Me She’s a Legend”

There’s some more restatement of points we’ve already heard, and Backbone wins.  Meat Loaf fights back tears.  (Ctrl+Shift+M)  His charity is Painted Turtle, which sends chronically ill kids to camp.  Trump’s also going to publish their book, and the proceeds will go to the charity.  That’s cool, but is there any way that anybody, besides me and Lil Jon’s mother, is going to buy a book about Lil Jon learning to be himself through the power of rap?

After the men leave, Trump asks Lisa what’s going on.  Lisa calls her team out on their crappy attitudes, specifically Star and Dionne.  Star asks Lisa what more she wanted, and Lisa responds by saying the word “kindness” five times in a row.  So, kindness then?  Lisa says Star wrote the book, while Dionne created it, but brings up the whole “name on the cover” thing.  Lisa says she put a stop to that, and that means Dionne has to be a mean old lady for a few minutes.  And Star just piles on, because that’s what she does.  Lisa says she has a lot to learn and Star giggles.  Nice.  Trump asks NeNe for her opinion, and she says that everybody is wrong.  Eric makes the point that if the book was the problem, then Star and Dionne should be under the microscope.  Once again, we actually heard Hope come up with the basic concept, but it was just “a lion who can’t roar” – this “shyness” thing that Holly and Trump hate wasn’t part of it.  Maybe the lion didn’t know how.  Maybe the lion quacked instead.  I don’t fault Hope for a concept that didn’t work, but given that Dionne’s actual contribution to the idea was “keep deafness out of the story”, she’s taking a little too much credit.
