This is another contestant I’m really excited to see. I like Meat Loaf’s music far more than I can rationally justify. He’s a weird dude in a lot of ways, but he always seemed fairly nice and easygoing. Thus, I’m alarmed by the recent promos that have him threatening to put Gary Busey in the hospital. Granted, context might absolve Meat of any wrongdoing. We’ll have to see. I’m looking forward to him, and you can expect numerous references to his songs peppered into the recaps. Not just the hits, either. We’re talking deep cuts. Like, you know, anything off of Midnight at the Lost and Found. (EJ) NeNe Leakes–I’m proud to say I’ve never watched a minute of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and only snippets of any other season of this insipid (albeit, from what I hear, highly addictive) franchise. But what I have heard about NeNe is that she makes for good TV, which is no doubt how she got this gig. I don’t care enough to look into whether or not she’s one of the housewives who actually has money, or one who’s totally broke. I don’t even think all of these women are wives, which has always bugged me. Just add her to the list of reality stars whose shows I manage to avoid, who then worm their way onto one of my awesome reality shows and force me to watch them mince about. (MW)
