Trump asks Star to pick two people to come back to the final Boardroom. Star picks LaToya and NeNe. She admits that she’s bringing NeNe to help her fight LaToya. Which is not a bad strategy, but admitting it is not a great move. It makes Star look weak. Trump tries to drag Hope into it, but given that Star’s made her choice, there’s no point to it.
NeNe is pissed. After she finally patched things up with LaToya, Star is forcing her to be the one who brings LaToya down. And yeah, that’s pretty lousy. I think NeNe should have just gone for broke here and gone after Star – “She’s so weak that she’s putting me in the line of fire just so I can fight her battle for her.” That would be a pretty compelling argument and it would get rid of a problem teammate. As much as I want the finale to be Marlee vs. Meat Loaf, it feels inevitable that it’s going to be Star vs. Kaboy.
