A video montage reminds us that the 70s happened before cutting to Marlee’s war room. Meat Loaf breaks the 70s down to “the Globetrotters, disco, and ‘Stayin’ Alive’.” Huh. Does he mean the song, which falls under the heading of ‘disco’, or the movie, which was the unpopular sequel to Saturday Night Fever? Also, the Globetrotters are awesome, but were they really that prevalent? That they’re one of the top three things about the decade? What about Star Wars or Watergate? But then, my top three from the decade would be Welcome Back Kotter, the Joker returning to Batman comics after years of inactivity, and Tom Waits’ Small Change album. Man, if I were in Marlee’s position, my ad would be really weird.
