Marlee’s team starts shooting stills for the print campaign. Meat Loaf pounds out the commercial script, talking out loud as he types. He also calls Richard “dear”. But not before Richard calls him “pumpkin”. Hee. They’re getting into costume. Meat Loaf has weird ideas about the 70s. Did they call their houses “cribs” back then? I know people didn’t say “to the max”. Weirdly, he’s going to have LaToya play a superhero, which wasn’t exactly an era-specific fad. I assume he’s trying to invoke the live-action Wonder Woman, but I would say that decade actually had remarkable low mainstream superhero acceptance. The 60s gave us Pop Art and Batmania, the 80s had comics making inroads into serious adult fiction, and the 2000s had all the blockbuster superhero movies. But the 70s? That seems like a weird choice. If I were on this show, I’d talk about things like that all the time. I mean, I talk about stuff like this all the time now, but people don’t have any way of knowing that.
