There’s still more to contend with. Lil Jon needs more lights, and they may or may not have money for it. John gets a call from Def Leppard’s road manager, and he’s starting to fray around the edges. The manager does not think there should be a kickdrum, and this suddenly becomes a make-or-break issue for John. “You and I are on separate pages… I was hoping we wouldn’t get into an argument about this, because it’s for charity…” He gets a little pissy, and insists the Def Leppard guy is a tool. All he’ll do now is recount the phone call to his teammates and crew members.
