Celebrity Apprentice Season Four – “Kaboy”

As ASAP rehearses, there’s a problem with LaToya’s volume – she’s hard to hear.  Hope has a hysterical impression of LaToya’s weird baby talk.  NeNe and Marlee hit a bit of a snag, because their dish is presented as a conversation, and waiting for the translation is messing up the flow.  It gets a little heated with NeNe and Hope, but then they just move on.  Sometimes, this team is pretty functional.  They don’t all necessarily like one another, but they get through it.  Sometimes.

At Backbone, the guys are cooking and Meat Loaf is freaking out about the lack of preparation.  You know, Meat Loaf suffered from paralyzing stage fright for a long time – that’s why he disappeared for so many years.  This whole show seems designed to play at his various insecurities.  They realize that what Meat Loaf is cooking does not match the menu, and that isn’t Meat Loaf’s fault.  Somebody got the menu wrong, and Busey signed off on it.  Busey tries to blame John, who was rather vocal about not having to do anything with the menu yesterday.  This argument about the menu turns into an argument about everything, including “boy”.  Busey says “I said ‘kaboy’,” and we’ll learn what that means later, because nobody remarks on it here.  Busey apologizes, and John makes a point of not accepting it.  Man, I’m no Busey fan, but John’s being a pissy a-hole here.  “I took offense to something you said, and regardless of any apologies you make now, I WILL ALWAYS BE OFFENDED!”  He is actually mad that Busey didn’t apologize when he did it, instead of waiting until he knew that it bothered John.  So, you should just apologize for everything you say, always?  On the chance that it may have offended somebody who has not yet indicated offense?  Why do people like this guy?

  1. You could tell, even after the entire project crashed and burned, Trump didn’t want to send Busey home because the show is less entertaining without him.

  2. See, I disagree. Trump only thinks the show is less entertaining, but I was so much more relaxed watching this week without his crazy ass invading the personal space of everyone he came in contact with.

  3. Yeah, it was definitely more entertaining to watch without Busey — not only did he make me uncomfortable, but he was leeching screen time from everybody else. We don’t really know much about how the various people interact with one another, because the editing was so Busey-focused. I think I would have been happier if he just popped up once every episode to say something crazy and then moved on.
