And now it’s Helio Castroneves, who was really fun on his season, but I feel like he had some recent scandal since then. Did he cheat on his wife, or maybe not pay his taxes? I could look it up, but who has that kind of time? As long as he’s happy tonight, I’m good. His dance is the Quickstep that made the Top 10 list. Boy, that’s another iconic dance. Also, I miss Julianne.
Rick Fox and Cheryl Burke (37/40 – 61 Total) – This seems like it’ll be a hard dance for Rick, because he and Helio are very different dancers. Eliza Dushku stops by the practice, and she’s pretty, but I can’t get over how she bugs the crap out of me whenever she acts. She’s always the same character, who is inherently uninteresting to me. But she seems nice enough, at least. Rick starts out behind the judge’s table in a green version of the Mask’s suit. If I were seeing this dance fresh, I think I’d be more impressed, but his speed and precision is nowhere near what Helio brought to the table. I like Rick a whole bunch, but he’s drastically unsuited to this reinterpretation. He makes crazy faces, at least.
