So when one of these games turns out to actually be fun, it’s very exciting. And the Wii Dancing with the Stars – We Dance! is really fun. I was sold early on, since it’s got the actual music and announcer from the show, including a dead-on replica of the stage. It also boasts digital versions of the three judges, who recorded new critiques for the game. And if you’ve never had a digital Bruno Tonioli tell you that “That performance oozed pure sex appeal”, brother, you haven’t lived.
You get to choose your favorite celebrity and pro, and you even pick which one you control. (It’s cool for a guy to play as Cheryl, right?) The couples include Cameron Mathison and Edyta, Helio Castroneves and Julianne, Apolo Ohno and Julianne (That’s right, two Julianne pairs!), Mel B. and Maksim, Jennie Garth and Derek, Joey Fatone and Kym, Mark Cuban and Kym (Two Kyms! And who on earth is going to pick Mark Cuban?), Jane Seymour and Tony, and Sabrina Bryan and Louis. Wait, what? Did Mark Ballas refuse to sign off on likeness rights? I’m not sure what happened there.
