Maks, on the other hand, is so laid back and cool.  There was a whole underlying story in my head about whether Maks just slept with the bottle-blonde, who’s more athletic and compact, or the lanky, slightly lethargic brunette, who’s a little needy and dead behind the eyes.  It’s dramatic stuff.  And, after all these years of watching him on the show, it wasn’t until he was instructing me, through the TV, that I saw the true power of Maks…every time he moves on to a new step, he says it like, “We’ll do Cuban breaks now, yeah?”  He pretends he’s asking permission, which leaves you smiling and giggling.  Oh, that may have just been me.
