Back to no particular order…Lacey looks sort of funereal as Sam recaps their situation. Karina is, for once, not rocking a bitchface. Holly and Dmitri are the first to be announced safe. Ty and Cheslie are next. When Steve-O and Lacey are announced safe, the camera lingers on Belinda and Jonathan too long while Lacey freaks out and hugs Steve-O. Looks like Belinda and Steve are headed for a DANCE OFF! Conspiracy theorists unite!!
So, the couples are now competing for new judges’ scores, which will again count for 50% of their total, combined with the first two weeks of audience votes. We see Belinda choose the salsa in her post-show confessional and then watch rehearsal from this morning. I can now see more clearly what they were talking about regarding the lack of hip action, even though they said it was improved, and the expense of the footwork. Carrie Ann notes some mistakes in the middle. Backstage, Belinda apologizes to Jonathan, who says how proud he is of her, regardless. The scores go down a point, as Carrie Ann goes for a 5, and the guys go with 6s for a total of 17 this time.
