First safe couple: Brooke and Derek, to the shock of no one. Next are Cloris and Corky, or as Tom calls them “Clorky”. This is when I knew no one was going home with some degree of certainty.
ABC is going for some corporate synergy, promoting it’s new series Life on Mars (It’s got Harvey Keitel!! Watch it!!) by having a 70’s theme or something. So here are Kool & the Gang with a medley of hits! They start with Jungle Boogie, and segue into Ladies’ Night (just reminds me of Lovitz in The Wedding Singer at this point), followed by “Celebration”, aka The Scurge of My Existence. One too many bar mitzvahs in the 80s, my friends. Wait, seriously? That’s it? That wasn’t even the length of one full song! The best part had to be the dancers who look like they escaped from the set of Solid Gold, if in fact that show was still on the air.
