Next, we have this big dance number to celebrate Macy’s 150th birthday. We’re introduced to choreographers Rich and Tone (which is not pronounced “Tony”), who have worked with Madonna, JLo and Chris Brown, to name a few. The number is called “Dancing Thru the Decades” and will cover the 30s, 60s and 80s and “the future”. I’m expecting flying cars, in that case. This is referred to as a “playground of dance creativity”, and we are shown backstage footage while being told this routine took 20,000 hours, 26 dancers and six months to put together, including masive changes to the set and huge amounts of wardrobe. I am really excited to witness this momentous event!
