Dancing with the Stars – Season 11, Performance Week 2

Jennifer Grey and Derek (24/30)—So, after the emotion of last week’s Swayze fueled waltz, we now learn that Jennifer’s routine check up last fall to go on the show led to the discovery that she had cancer, and her spine was compressed. Four surgeries later she has a plate and four screws in her neck. And a scar. Guys dig scars! Their jive is really fun and even pretty sexy, which is not always the case with this dance. Jennifer and Derek collapse in a heap by the judges. Carrie says a lot of what I said, which never happens. Len says it was fabulous. Bruno compliments the choreography and calls it “wicked”.Audrina Patridge and Tony (23/30)—Audrina’s having a hard time because can’t see her boyfriend very much because of the crazy schedule. Um, sorry? I think Tony has three kids, so don’t bitch to him. Their quickstep is pretty competent, even though she’s still got to work on performance. The comments are brief; all three judges loved it, basically. Tony is happy as hell…until Brooke shows a clip where he promised to wax his legs if the routine doesn’t get three 8’s. Bruno is the holdout at a 7 and the celebriquarium goes wild. The best part is that Brooke seems to completely misunderstand and think he’s gotten out of the leg waxing by NOT getting three 8’s. Sometimes I worry about Brooke.
