Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars-Season 11, Performance, Week 5

Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough (25/30) – They’re doing the Fox Trot this week, which Jennifer thinks will be a little easier on her body.  They’re having a really frustrating training session this week, which is really awkward to watch.  Sometimes you expect people to go at it, but these two both seem so level that it’s weird to see them getting mad at one another.  They work it out, though, because they’re reasonable people.  Yay!  Oh man, they’re doing “Love and Marriage”, which was not written for the show, but we all know as the Married… with Children theme.  They’re decked out like a 50’s sitcom couple, complete with a cardigan.  They fiddle around quite a bit at the beginning, which always runs the risk of irking Len.  It takes awhile to become an actual dance, but once it does, it’s so smooth and elegant.  There aren’t any real showstoppers, but it’s just well-executed and solid throughout.  Bruno thought it was immaculate.  Carrie Ann says it was good, but not nearly their best.  Len thinks it was too theatrical, which is what we all knew was going to happen.  She gets a 25, which is really good for the tepid praise that they got.

  1. For the record, Maurice Greene is not dead. I don’t know why I threw the word “Memorial” in there….
