And, now, here are how the current competitors ranked for the evening, with both individual and dance marathon scores. It was a weird night, what with Bristol outranking both Kurt and (gasp!) Jennifer on individual routines. But, I can’t even cry foul. She really did a decent job…an amazing one if we’re grading on a curve.
Brandy & Maks (26+ 10=36) Now, a tango to “Holding Out for a Hero”, the Bonnie Tyler classic from Footloose is what I dream of at night. It explains the 80’s costumes, anyway. Their technique is more polished than ever and their intensity so strong that Brandy look like she’s having an episode at the end. Is she for real here? Len says it’s the dance of the night. Bruno likens her to Tina Turner in Mad Max. Carrie Ann says she had goosebumps from the whole thing, though she spotted a few tiny missteps, which I saw, too. Nevertheless, it was fabulous.
