Hines Ward & Kym (23/30; 44/60)–Quickstep–It’s entertaining and fun, and his footwork is certainly up to par. They are developing a nice chemistry. Bruno says he had ease and confidence. Carrie Ann liked his grace and control, among other things. Len points out his frame and says he was impressed. Get used to seeing Hines Ward on your TV, folks.
Kirstie Alley & Maks (20/30; 43/60)–Quickstep–Kirstie gets more personality points for her rehearsal footage, even busting out a “Winning!” when she and Maks discuss how much weight a high-cardio dance like quickstep can help her lose. The dance is briskly paced and she keeps up admirably, doing a nice job with some complex footwork. It’s not perfect, but it’s fun and crowd-pleasing, ending with Kirstie planting a big, wet kiss on Maks’ lips. Carrie Ann says it was fabulous. Len mentions “a slight hiccup”, saying it was “good, not great”. Bruno says her energy waned as it went on, but that she did well. He also makes a very nice comment about her weight, telling her not to worry about it because she has talent.
