Chelsea Kane & Mark (18/30; 39/60)–Jive–So, I guess this kind of reminds me of Marie’s scary doll dance for a hot second, because of the costumes, and then it gets kind of awesome. I think the music is Panic! At the Disco, but I’m not sure. Regardless, it’s not your standard jive music. I’m impressed with their ability to dance in sync and Chelsea’s overall level of skill for week 2. It has some genuine jive elements, but is definitely edgy and updated. Carrie Ann HATED it, saying it was not a jive. Len hated all the “messin’ about” with the doors and stuff, as is his wont. He compliments Chelsea, though. Bruno calls it “Marcel Marceau desperately seeking Susan in a clockwork orange.” Tom: ‘That’s what I thought!” Ha! After their scores, Brooke gives them ample time to defend themselves. Chelsea says something about being young and fearless, while Mark throws out a bunch of jive terminology which mostly sails right over my head, but whatever. I still think she’ll get the votes to pull her through.
