Chris Jericho and Cheryl Burke (26/30) – Last week, I thought he was pretty awesome, but Len disagreed. Of course, he did a paso, and those are my favorites. He busts out his Len impression in rehearsal, but Cheryl points out that it sounds more like Ozzy. They’re doing a Viennese Waltz to “America the Beautiful”, and Cheryl stresses that he needs to work on technique. He really wants at least an 8 from Len.
Jericho is in dress blues, and Cheryl’s in something that is red and revealing. That’s pretty American, I guess. I like this dance quite a bit. He makes some goofy faces, and he sometimes goes for speed over precision. It makes him look a little spazzy, but I still like it. The music is weird though – it just seems strange that they’re using a public domain song. Makes it look like they ran out of royalty money early in the season. Will they dance to “The Old Gray Mare (She Ain’t What She Used to Be)” next week?
