Romeo and Chelsie Hightower (20/30) – Last week, they had the best dance of the night. He picked one of the many songs called “I’ll Be There” in honor of two cousins who died very young. In rehearsal, he has a hard time showing emotion, and he and Chelsie get in an argument about shoes. Well, he is his father’s son.
It’s a Rumba, and while it’s technically very sound, he seems really disconnected from the emotion of the performance. His face is just completely blank. His arm movements seem really aggressive considering what the song is about, too. I mean, it’s fine and it’ll probably get a good score, but it’s hard to imagine anyone getting excited about it.
