There’s a video package about how terrible it would be for anybody to have to go home at this point. Everybody talks about how much the show means to them, just to make sure that we’ll feel terrible whatever the results tonight are. And mostly it’s reminding me that I really want Jericho to stick around for a while. I don’t think he’s going to win, but let’s give the guy another couple of weeks.
NKOTBSB returns to perform a medley of “I Want it That Way” and “Step by Step”. I’m really the wrong age and/or gender to have any real nostalgia for either of these songs. I mostly remember that the girls who made fun of me in middle school all really liked New Kids on the Block, and I die inside a little whenever I see their old logo because I picture it on a Trapper Keeper held by an eleven-year old girl who is making fun of my Batman lunchbox. At the end, Anna comes out to dance with one of the former Boy Banders, as does a blonde woman identified as “Vita”, but she only looks vaguely familiar. Is she one of the B-Team? Because I saw them like five minutes ago and already can’t remember them. That’s not good.
