This dance is quite good. I like the way it’s really big and sweeping – it covers a lot of ground. There’s not a lot of big, memorable moves, but they just keep going. There aren’t any of those awkward foot-shuffling bits – they’re in constant motion. He does not have the smoothest footwork around, though. I still like it.
Bruno likes his fire, but thinks he’s not bouncing right. Carrie Ann thought he was sending the wrong message because, again, she’s drunk. Chelsie looks perplexed by her comments. Donnie says he’s really grown over the season but thinks he’s got some problems with his footwork. Len says that he didn’t like it. In their post-judging interview, Brooke confuses Romeo with Ralph Macchio, which has to be a first. They get a 30, but there’s some confusion. Donnie holds up an 8 and calls it ‘8’, but the screen identifies it as a 7, which is apparently correct. Wow, that got confusing. Way to ruin the show, temp judge!
The second Team Dance song was by one of my least favorite “artists” on the planet, Ke$ha. I loathe her. You were right on the first song, btw. The TRON and Mr. Rogers references were perfect (and hilarious) but I also saw shades of a latter day Barry Manilow when I looked at Donnie, also. Jinkies. I can’t believe Kendra might live another day.
I thought that Donnie was a Martin Short character. I like Romeo. I’m hoping Kendra goes.
