Freestyle Round
Chelsea and Mark–You’ll never believe it, but Mark wanted their dance to be “fresh and edgy”! This, of course, equals hip hop. With light-up gloves and shoes (Black Eyed Peas or Tron…pick your pop culture reference!) and set to a song straight out of my zumba class, this routine first struck me as a lot of lifts and flips and spins and not as much dance On second watch, I was proven wrong. There is a lot of content here that is not of the “trick” variety. I still don’t like Mark. Len says it was full on and full of attack. Bruno liked the way they interpreted Latin steps with a contemporary twist. Carrie Ann couldn’t find the words, so she did hip thrusts. (30/30)
