Chuck Wicks & Julianne (20). It turns out that Julianne is having trouble teaching her real-life boyfriend the Waltz. I found it very fluid, and enjoyed their little smooch at the end. Bruno felt like he was chasing her a bit. Len praises Chuck’s footwork, but said his posture was bizarre. Carrie Ann is the lift police again! Oh, how I haven’t missed that!
David Alan Grier & Kym Johnson (19) Who knew that DAG had a Tony nom? Not me! David wants free dance shoes and sexual favors out of the show (HA!) but really wants to know how much weight Kym thinks he will lose. I love that Kym can’t tell when he’s being serious and has to admit she doesn’t get most of his jokes. They waltz to “You Light Up My Life”, which cracks me up. David’s got the elegance down, but I didn’t see a lot of technique. Carrie Ann, a former “In Living Color” castmate, says he needs to watch his facial expressions, and Len says his bum sticks out. However, he’s certainly doing better than the last few funny guys did.
