Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars Season 9, Performance Week 6 (Oct 26)

Donny & Kym (31) They took time out of their rehearsal time to teach people with Down’s Syndrome to dance.  Of course, it’s adorable.  For their routine, they get train sound effects and smoke.  It’s the type of fun, exciting and just joyous dance that has some intangibles no one else can compare with in this group.  Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno point out a couple stumbles near the beginning, but are uniformly delighted by the performance aspect.

Kelly & Louis (25) He takes her to a trapeze training center of some sort and, unlike Mika on The Amazing Race, she conquers her fear of heights, which has what exactly to do with the Jitterbug?  The routine is such fun, even if it seems a little tentative until the last 30 seconds or so, when she throws in a flip and some nice, strong kicks.  Carrie Ann wants her to stay in her “happy place”.  Len calls it “flat-footed” and lacking in the wildness he’d like to see in a Jitterbug.  Bruno calls it “cute and nice”.  He wants her to really sell it. It seemed “beige” to him.  Tom begs to disagree. So, Kelly’s fear arc continues.  Also, her maturity arc, as you compared teenage Kelly from The Osbournes to twenty-something Kelly of today.  And it’s so much more appealing and endearing than Aaron’s.
