Melissa & Mark (24) Can I just say that scruffy rehearsal Mark is sort of gross looking? He brings his mom, Shirley Ballas, in to coach Melissa on her Waltz technique. Um, I don’t know that it helped all that much. At certain points, she looks like she’s hanging on for dear life and she’s klutzier than ever. Bruno says it looks like she’s trying to remember what she was told rather than really dancing, her posture was bad, and there was no flow. Carrie Ann says “at least you kept your puppies up”, which was something Shirley told her in practice. She felt like “the floor was sticky”. By contrast, Len thought she was elegant and he liked their transitions. He feels the other critiques were a bit harsh.
