Kelly & Louis (23/30) We find out that Kelly auditioned for and got the lead in Chicago on Broadway (Roxie Hart…which we’re reminded that Samantha Harris actually played. Still trying to figure that one out.) but was given another part in the show because she couldn’t dance. (There is no amount of money that I wouldn’t pay to see Samantha in Chicago. – EJ) This was one of her biggest regrets, so she’s out to prove something. There are definitely bits where she and Louis are out of sync, but overall the routine, set to “Cabaret” (which explains Louis’ makeup), is a charming number and earns massive applause. Carrie Ann likens Kelly’s dancing to a bird learning to fly. Len is happy for her confidence,even though he was looking for more “swivel”. Bruno points out the Liza & Joel Grey tribute, as well as the Fosse touches. I think Louis is just a genius choreographer.
