Bruno says it was fun, but he says it in a really enthusiastic way. Carrie Ann praises her transformation and her authenticity. She gets a 30. That’s a little over the top, but at this point, does it matter anymore?
Finally, it’s Hines and Kym. They don’t immediately agree on a dance, but finally settle on the Samba that Hines dedicated to his mother. It’s actually not my favorite dance that he did all season, but it is quite good. I’m just not a huge Samba fan. It’s fun to watch, and they do a great job.
Hines’ mother is very proud in the audience. The crowd goes wild. Carrie Ann calls him the MVP of the season. Len calls Hines “the package”, and I think he’s not aware of the slang connotation of that word. Bruno calls him a “charming dazzler”. Another perfect 30. So this last round doesn’t really have any effect on their standings – it just results in making the viewer vote statistically more important. I feel like that benefits Hines and Kirstie but hurts Chelsea, but I don’t really have anything to base that on.
