They are dancing to “Daughters” that ubiquitous John Mayer song that always seemed to me like it could’ve been written on a napkin, for all its complexity. The entire routine is lovely. There are great extensions and one move just flows into the next. it looks rather effortless. At the end, Brooke glides over to the chairs and hugs and kisses one of her own daughters. I get a lump in my throat. Not made of stone, people. Carrie Ann tells Brooke she’s her favorite and that her inner beauty shines through when she dances. Len says it was the best dance of the season! Bruno says it was beautiful. The scores are crazy high. 9’s from Carrie Ann and Bruno and the first 10 of the season from Len, of all people, for a 28! Brooke is psyched. She tells Samantha that she’s “crazy about him” in reference to Derek and he says he pushes her because he wants her to reach her potential. Everyone cheers their high scores.
