Dancing With The Stars

Dancing With the Stars: Week 3 Performances (Oct 7)

They are good again, but is this one a bit slow, also?  I feel like I’m missing something.  The series of spins is really good, as is the kicking, but it’s just OK overall.  Carrie Ann likes that Mo went “full throttle” and says he’s a contender.  Len says it was “fast and bright” and he liked the kicks and flicks, calling it Mo’s best dance.  Bruno is glad he focused on his precision.  Backstage, Maurice says DWTS is harder than Olympic training.  They end up with straight 8s for a 24.

Next, Rocco and Karina have the Waltz.  She says she’s going to take away Rocco’s sense of sight to help him with his musicality.  It’s blindfolded music appreciation class!  Rocco does seem to be benefiting, but you also know he’s wondering what else they could do with the blindfold.  He says he felt liberated.  Uh-huh. See?  The dance starts with Rocco blindfolded, but it comes off in under ten seconds.  Karina’s dress looks like a Boca Raton flea market exploded all over her.  At the end of the number, Rocco puts these cat-eyes sunglasses on Len (Bruno suggests he resembles Dame Edna!) and he and Karina nuzzles noses in their final pose.  All in all, a cute routine, but not super-Waltzy.
