The couples are all lined up on the staircase to start, which is new. They have Lil Kim and Derek and LT and Edyta step to the center of the stage and hear the judges’ remarks. Lil Kim and Derek are saved, as are LT and Edyta. What was the point of that? (I think they gave up on the Dance-Off at the last minute, and left Tom to fill some time. -EJ)
We now have to watch Julianne and Tony dance to song called “Goodbye” by Rascal Flatts, or as I like to call them, “that band that I know because Carrie Underwood sang their song on American Idol that time”. (I am still confused as to whether the name “Rascal Flatts” refers to one person or to the bad as a whole. They’re the modern-day Jethro Tull. -EJ) I am happy to see Julianne do a pro number with someone other than her brother. She’s barefoot in a flowy white strapless gown and they do all kinds of tricks, flips and lifts. It’s really fun and showy…those are some fancy technical terms for ya. The song isn’t my thing so much, but the dancing upstages it sufficiently.
