Train is back with “Drops of Jupiter”, a song that I go back and forth on. I have to be in certain mood. The lyrics are by turns poetic and completely stupid. I notice they leave out the line about doing Tae Bo. Well, what’s this? Louis is dancing with none other than Karina Smirnoff. She’s sporting a cute, curly bob and I hope her time away has made her less cranky. Karina & Louis end in splits, which is impressive.
Under the red light, Erin is tense and Maks is trying to get her to smile. After Tom pulls a Seacrest and makes us wait through the break, we find out the next safe couple is Chad & Cheryl. He gets down on one knee and does a whole weird celebration thingy. Bruno praises both Pam and Erin. Carrie Ann is shocked by Erin’s position, while Tom points out it’s her birthday. Len finds this bottom two “heartbreaking”. Ultimately, Pam is eliminated. As it probably should be, since she was bottom two several times before tonight. She gives a sweet, simple, classy exit interview, thanking Damien and everyone in the cast. Their clip package serves as a reminder that above all else, Pam really is a pretty decent actress. Maybe she’ll get some more work, which, by all accounts, she needs.
