We then learn that Karina had to have surgery for a herniated disc in her neck (ow!) and it almost looks like the show made poor Mario stay in the rehearsal room waiting for her to come back the entire time, practicing alone. I hope they fed him! Once they take the stage, it’s clear he’ll be the gold standard, at least for the men. This kid is polished and has a huge presence. I think he’s adorable, and like that he looks like he’s really having a blast. It’s nice to see. The judges can only really critique his footwork, which makes sense.
