Tom calls this “Macho Monday” (which, no) and says the contestants represent “extremes of age, height and personality”. We are then formally greeted (at last) by Tom and Samantha Harris, who always ruins how lovely she looks (tonight she’s got on a seriously awesome black ball gown and lots of bling) by speaking in a booming baritone. They introduce the pros dancing to kick off the show, which is nice since they all have fans themselves at this point, especially Julianne and Cheryl and, on this site, Anna. Tony Dovolani is wearing a vest without a shirt, either desperately trying to take Maks’ place (sorry, honey, not even close) or else he’s on his way to audition for a Color Me Badd biopic. Then there’s Edyta, who’s been on every season and has yet to win, or wear an entire dress.
