Laurieann, believe it or not, calls it “amazing”, and I now believe she doesn’t know what that word means. In her mind “amazing” means “a thing that happens near ice”. Dick says she is “one skinny babe” and then adds “I hope I got that right”. What the hell? I love that they all gush, and then they’re going to give her bad scores. Johnny talks about how great her body is, and she’s perfect for skating. And yet her scores don’t reflect this, with a 14 and a 15, for a 29.
Well, that’s the show. I guess. Honestly, it’s not very good. They tried really hard to make it as much like Dancing with the Stars as possible, but since Dancing with the Stars is already a thing that exists, there’s not much need for this. And everybody involved, except for Dick Button, is really boring. I hoped this would fill the DWTS gap, but I don’t really see myself sitting through this again. But I would totally buy The Wit and Wisdom of Dick Button.
