Flash Forward

FlashForward 1-11 “Revelation Zero – Part One”

Previously on FlashForward: They were getting ready for Christmas. Yeah, it’s been a long time since there’s been a new episode. How about if I stop griping about that and make with the recapping?
We open with a guy telling us a story about a window washer in LA. When the Blackout hit, his rig tilted and dumped his unconscious body from the top of a skyscraper. But at the last second, the hook on his rope belt snagged on something and caught him. And on the other side of the building, a helicopter crashes. Like we saw in the pilot! The window guy wakes up to find himself dangling, and we see a montage of the regular cast members waking up as well. This is actually a pretty good intro to get people caught up. And then we see who’s been narrating – it’s a man speaking at a podium in a small room. It’s the window washer! He’s also Gil Bellows of Ally McBeal fame.
We jump to the present day, where Stanford is watching video of Mark freaking out in Hong Kong. He’s yelling at Mark, who just wants to see Olivia, who was “nearly kidnapped”. So this isn’t “Present Day” so much as it is “Three and a half months ago”. Janis and Vreede are taking Olivia’s statement, and also catching us op on the last scene before the winter break. She accidentally calls Lloyd “Mark”, which is not cool. Mark tries to explain why he’s justified in acting like a jackass and Stanford explains exactly how much effort he’s putting into following Mark’s leads. Stanford refers him to the Bureau therapist, who he has to see three times a week until he’s cleared for active duty.
