Heroes

Fixing “Heroes” – or – Hey NBC, Give Me a Job!

One big reason for that was the Writer’s Strike – it cut Season Two short. Drastically short, in fact – just eleven episodes. Now, a lot of shows just knocked off for the season at that point, and it turned out to be the wrong choice. The shows that produced even a few new episodes after the strike ended managed to retain viewers, while the shows that didn’t saw their ratings drop.

Hot rookies like Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money came back months later with a fraction of their audience, and didn’t see the end of their second seasons.
