Heroes 4-11 “The Fifth Stage”

Claire nurses Samuel’s wounds ask asks why he let the crazy guy beat on him. Samuel said it was better for “the family” to just let him go off and not wreak havoc on the outside world. Samuel once again starts pressuring Claire to join the carnival, and he plays the right card by stressing how important Claire is. Yep, he knows exactly what she wants to hear. She agrees to stay for a couple days and sends Gretchen on her way. They hug, and you just know Pasdar’s going to lose it if he’s dead and freaking Gretchen sticks around. Samuel and Lydia watch, and Samuel assures her that he’s going to make everything right, and Samuel says of Claire “It’s not her I’m after”. Wait, what? We then see that the angry guy from the pitching booth is laying dead in the back of his pickup truck.
