They swing by Lydia’s tent to see what their future brings. Claire asks if she belongs at the carnival, and her tattoos shift to an image of Claire and a sign reading “Indestructible Girl”. Lydia says it isn’t necessarily Claire’s future, but it is her desire. Gretchen gets creeped out and they leave.

Peter enters the elevator, and a heavyset African-American woman joins him. After a second or two, she picks him up by the neck and tosses him. Yep, it’s Sylar! I feel like I should point out that the Haitian’s powers have always been portrayed as being unconscious – he doesn’t control his power negation, it’s always in effect. There’ve been scenes when he’s had to step away from people so they could use their powers. If Peter has those powers, Sylar shouldn’t be able to change his shape. And this episode was written by Tim Kring, who should know better.
