LOST Pre-Game: “The Substitute”
And here’s something. In the real timeline, where’s the bomb? See, in our timeline, the bomb didn’t go off – that’s where (based on what we’ve seen so far) Timeline X diverges. If the bomb had gone off in our timeline, the Island would be destroyed. That means there has to be an exploded bomb and an unexploded bomb. When Sawyer went down to the pit for Juliet, he would have seen it. Heck, if the bomb were still there, Juliet would have still been smacking it with a rock. Let’s face it, if the bomb were still in front of her, there’s absolutely no way that her final thought would have been “It worked”, because it most definitely wouldn’t have. Jughead disappeared from our timeline. Given the things that disappeared from Timeline X’s version of Flight 815 (Desmond, Christian’s body, Locke’s knives), it seems like that could mean something.
