You guys? That was really good. And not just in the way where we’re all excited about Lost being back. That was flat-out really good.
Before we start on the premiere, a friend of mine put forth the theory that it’s actually a woman in the coffin in last season’s finale. This is sort of brilliant. It’s a smaller coffin, certainly not big enough for somebody like Sawyer or Locke. Jack and Kate were also very careful to not use personal pronouns when discussing the funeral – no ‘him’ or ‘his’. Finally, it looks like Jack caresses the coffin for just a second. Read into that as you will, but it’s an interesting idea.
