LOST Revisited: 6-13 “The Last Recruit”

And now, “The Last Recruit”.

We begin with a big Lostaway reunion. It’s been a long time since all these characters have shared screen time together, and it would be a much happier occasion, if everything hadn’t gone horribly wrong. Look-a-Locke takes Jack aside for some catching up, and it’s the old faith vs. reason argument all over again, but inverted. Jack’s the believer, and Look-a-Locke, who is actually a monster made of smoke, preaches reason. Smokey has some interesting identity issues – Jack says “I don’t know what you are”, and he only responds with “Sure you do”, without any explanation.
