LOST Revisited: 6-4 “The Substitute” (Feb 17)

In the statue, Benry finds Ilana, weeping. In Benry’s version of events, he didn’t do anything wrong, and it was Smokey who killed Jacob and kicked him into the fire. I have to think that if Ilana is as clued in as she seems, she’ll know that’s not quite true. She scoops up the ashes from the firepit. We’ve already seen that circles of ash can repel Smokey, so it seems like the actual ashes of Jacob should be able to do even more than that.
