LOST Revisited: 6-4 “The Substitute” (Feb 17)
This is way too much to process right now, but I want to throw a few things out there. The mystery boy who told Look-a-Locke that “You can’t kill him” – was he referring to Sawyer? Can he not kill any of the candidates? And I tend to not believe him, so I have to think he lied to Sawyer about protecting the Island from nothing. In fact, since he seems so keen to leave, maybe Jacob’s real job was to keep Smokey on the Island. Maybe he was protecting the rest of the world. Maybe it’s not a struggle of equals, but Jacob is the warden and Silas is the prisoner.
