LOST Revisited: 6-5 “The Lighthouse”

In Timeline X, David is missing. Jack panics and finally goes to the house of David’s unnamed mother. He’s perfectly comfortable just going in when nobody’s home. Digging in his son’s stuff, like any good parent, he hears an answering machine message from the Williams Conservatory, where they’re saving a spot for David. There’s also a call from Jack himself. In Sydney, he’s pretty shook up and just needs to hear his son’s voice. I can’t decide how I feel about that. It’s kind of sweet, but David is just a kid – it’s not exactly fair to use him to vent your feelings.
