LOST Revisited: 6-5 “The Lighthouse”

Jack sulks outside the lighthouse when Jacob appears to Hurley. Jacob is surprisingly calm. Hurley figures out that Jacob wanted Jack to see what was in the mirror – Jacob agrees that Jack has to be shown that he’s special. It sounds like that was the sole goal of this trip, but here’s another thing. We don’t know at this moment if the people coming to the Island are real or a fabrication on Jacob’s part, but the whole point of a lighthouse is to make sure that a boat doesn’t run aground. Take out the lighthouse and, in the dark, somebody could smack right into an Island that’s not on any maps. So I wouldn’t rule out any new visitors just yet.
