LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “Recon”

Hail Hydra!: When Look-a-Locke appeared to Benry, he said they were headed to the Hydra station. (Which is on the second Island.) Why Hydra? The Orchid is the one that can move the Island, while Hydra seems to mostly be used for animal experimentation and surveillance. That’s where they feed fish biscuits to polar bears. It’s also where Karl was forced to watch the brainwashing film, and where Walt was held captive. Almost everything we’ve seen of Hydra has involved keeping people in cages. So why is Look-a-Locke headed there? He’s free to kill whoever he wants (except the candidates) so imprisonment isn’t a priority for him. What is on the second Island that’s important to him now? That is where he first took the form of Locke – that might play into its significance, but beyond that, I’m kind of stumped.
