LOST Revisited: Pre-Game for “Recon”

From what we’ve seen, we know that Jacob has different gifts for different people. He healed Dogen’s son, and he seemingly healed Ilana (who was in a full-body cast when he touched her). And wouldn’t it be weird if in some cases his gifts were just physical things that he gave to people. His gift to Richard? Immortality. His gift to Jack? A candy bar. Sawyer? A pen.
